Full Planning Permission Granted in Swanage

Full planning permission was successfully granted by Purbeck District Council for an extensive programme of extensions and renovation to this existing property overlooking the stunning coastline of Swanage Bay. Our architectural team led the entire planning process, working closely with the local authority and specialist consultants to ensure the proposal met all environmental and technical requirements. A key part of the application involved detailed coordination with the council’s tree officers to protect the mature tree on site; we carefully designed the new garage foundations to avoid any impact on the tree’s root system, ensuring long‑term ecological preservation.

In addition to the approved renovation works, we designed a new single‑storey side extension that seamlessly integrates with the existing building. This thoughtfully crafted addition creates a warm and inviting snug area for the family, enhancing both the functionality and character of the home. The overall scheme transforms the property while remaining sensitive to its coastal setting, delivering a high‑quality architectural solution that maximises views, improves spatial flow, and adds significant long‑term value.

This project demonstrates our expertise in securing planning permission for complex residential extensions in Dorset, as well as our commitment to sustainable, context‑driven design. From concept to approval, we ensure every detail is carefully considered to achieve exceptional results for our clients.
